Haunted Woods

Maris Farms 2015 Haunted Woods

More thrills, more chills!

KISS-logoThe 2015 Maris Farms Haunted Woods, presented by 106.1 KISS FM, is sure to provide more thrills and more chills to all who dare visit the Buckley farm this fall! The Haunted Woods combines a 35-minute creepy quest through the corn with around-the-corner, emotional roller coaster thrills through the forest.

The tour of terror begins its 11th frightful season Oct. 3rd and continues each Friday & Saturday night (see Schedule & Pricing Page for full schedule) throughout the month, in addition to the last 2 Sundays in the countdown to Halloween. This high-startle, high action haunted attraction is not recommended for children under 10 or people with fragile health conditions.

Haunted Woods adding plenty of “new look” sets, characters in 2015!

This adventure through Pierce County’s longest and scariest haunt attraction begins with your wait inside an old cattle barn before you embark on the terrifying trail in the corn. You’ll notice a change right off the bat as you leave that old barn through a foggy, swamp-like experience that’s sure to grab your heart and yank it out your mouth!

The trail meanders through 12-foot tall cornstalks, past creepy creatures and through sadistic sets. This terrifying trek through the cornfield is filled with walk thru sets, several animatronic characters and more than 25 actors in full makeup and custom costumes.

After nearly a ½ mile of twists, turns and terror in the corn, you’ll enter a dark forest. Trees with moving limbs will reach to hug you, and beware the barrel-throwing maniac and the other 20+ freaks that lurk the woods. A psycho, drill-happy dentist and a scary, ground-crawling little girl (who climbs out of an old well) await your company. The trail returns to the cornfield for a climactic last ½ mile of terror! Whatever you do, do not anger the chainsaw-dueling grandparents near the end – they are not happy you’ve invaded their farm! What evil lurks around the next turn? Is someone or something watching you? Can you feel their bloodshot eyes follow your every move as you travel the trail? This is truly not for the faint of heart! Approximately 30-35 minutes long.

Special Note: Due to an intense fright factor, the Haunted Woods attraction is NOT recommended to children 10 & under or people with heart conditions. THERE ARE NO REFUNDS .

What’s a Fast Pass? On peak nights during the season, the wait to enter the Haunted Woods with a general admission ticket can be an hour or greater. The fast pass is sold in limited quantities and reduces the wait to 15 minutes or less. Peak nights will be Friday & Saturday nights typically starting 10/16.

And during the day…
The“Paintball Safari” provides plenty of excitement for those that like the idea of shooting at things, but not necessarily a “scare” aspect. You’ll ride through the a ½ mile trail located just north of the Haunted Woods area and attempt to destroy as many targets as possible, using one of the 40 paintball guns that are mounted inside the bus…(Saturdays & Sundays 12 PM – 5 PM).

Monster Safari: The night time Monster Safari (aka zombie paintball) is not being offered this year, but we took that creative energy to dial in the Haunted Woods for an even better show!
