Haunted Woods rules: Important!
- No intoxicants. Individuals who appear intoxicated will be removed from venue, with absolutely no exceptions.
- No running
- No smoking
- No intentional touching of actors
- No flash cameras
- No flashlights
- Stay on the trail at all times
- No picking and/or throwing corn
- Please refrain from going to the bathroom inside any of the attractions
- No jumping on and off the buses
Due to the intense nature of this experience, we have adopted a Strong Policy regarding adherence to these rules, which are intended to keep you, other customers and our actors safe. Our Strong Policy is a zero tolerance for violation of any of these rules. Violation will result in immediate removal from the venue. No refunds.
You will encounter uneven terrain and possibly areas of mud inside the Haunted Woods (if its rained heavily prior to your entry); also, if you leave the trail you will not be able to see and will most likely encounter brush, trees, stones and other items inherent to being in a corn field or woods, or staging materials inherent to a stage production. Please be aware of this.

Q: What Days will you be open?
A: Please see our Schedule Page for dates and hours of operation.
Q: What Hours will you be open?
A: The Box office opens every day that the farm is open and tickets can be purchased all the way up until closing of business (see Schedule/Pricing page for hours). There are different times for Thursday/Sunday shows then there are for Friday/Saturday shows and the hours are a bit different earlier in the season than they are at the end of the season. Hours will increase as we get closer to Halloween.

Q: How scary is the Haunted Woods?
A: The Haunted Woods has plenty of around the corner scares and sets to keep your heart pumping. It is not for the faint of heart. The experience is approx. 35 minutes of walking through a cornfield and forested area filled with scary sets and more than 40 actors.
Q: Is there a parking fee?
A: Nope. Parking is free but limited.
Q: Is it strenuous?
A: You will walk about 2 miles through the trails in The Haunted Woods. You will be going up and down stairs, in and out of buildings.
Q: How long does it take?
A: The Haunted Woods is about 30-35 minutes. The Night Corn Maze can take 30-90 minutes.
Q: How do I purchase tickets?
A: You can purchase tickets at the door (but the best way to make sure you’ll be able to attend – especially on the busier evenings – is to purchase online. Our box office accepts cash, Visa, Mastercard, and ATM/Debit cards. You can also purchase them online at our website: www.MarisFarms.com.
Q: What rules must I follow while visiting the Haunted Woods?
A: We have a few basic rules which must be followed at all times:
*Do not touch any actors or staff at any time
*Do not bring any weapons, alcoholic beverages, or pets onto the property.
*Do Not wear open toes shoes or flip flops.
*Respect other customers and employees; no rude or lewd behavior, defacing property, etc.
*No smoking inside the attractions, lighters, videos or photography inside the attraction.
Q: Is the HauntedWoods wheelchair accessible?
A: Traveling the Haunted Woods trails in a wheelchair will require some help over the trail terrain and around certain venues with steps (like bridges). Many people have experienced this attraction with the help of friends and family.
Q: Can I wear costumes or masks to the nighttime activities?
A: Costumes are okay, but masks are not allowed for the safety of our employees and guests. Whatever you do don’t dress like a zombie, you may be shot.
Q: Is there a different admission price for children?
Q: How old do you have to be to get in to the Haunted Woods?
A: We do not recommend the Haunted Woods for children under 10. However, it is up to the parents. Children under 10 must be escorted by an adult. NO REFUNDS.

Q: How old do I have to be to work for the Haunted Woods?
A: Because of the late hours, we do not hire actors under 18.
Q: Will the Haunted Woods close if it rains?
A: We will close in severe weather. The line to enter is covered but most of the Haunted Woods is outside so you will get wet. We do have covered areas outside to take cover if raining but hey it makes it more realistic! We will do our best to post an update on the home page of this website in the event of a closure. Be sure to refresh your page for the most current information. In the event of closure due to inclement weather, purchased tickets can be redeemed on another night.
Q: Are there live rats, snakes, cockroaches, bugs, etc.?
A: None that we’ve planted.
Q: What kind of effects are there?
A: There will be blood, zombies, violence, gore, loud noises, gunfire, strobe lights, stairs, tight passageways, darkness, smoke, fire and destruction. You may get a little water sprayed on you.
Q: Will we get our money back if we make it all the way through?
A: No. The Haunted Woods that gives you your money back if you make it to the end does not exist. It is a myth/urban legend.
Q: If they scare me, can I punch them?
A: If you assault any of our staff, Pierce County Sherrifs officers will take you directly to jail. For the safety of our guests and staff, we use security cameras throughout the event.
Q: Will I be injured, dismembered or killed at your event?
A: We go to great lengths to provide a safe experience for our guests. If you follow our rules, stay on the path, and do not touch the employees or scenery, you will make it through safely. In addition to our security staff, we also have at least 2 Pierce County Sherrifs and an EMT on staff during operation.
Q: Can I take pictures or video inside?
A: No, sorry. Outside the Haunted Woods, photography is fine.
Q: Will Actors touch me?
A: Our actors will not intentionally touch you,but unintentional touching sometimes will occur.
Q: Are there restrictions for people who are pregnant or have health problems?
A: In general you need to be in good physical condition to survive the Haunted Woods. Please consult your doctor to find out if an intense experience is appropriate for your condition. Do not enter if you suspect your health is at risk. You should not enter with the following conditions: Pregnancy, heart conditions, nausea, obesity, back problems, epilepsy, breathing problems, bladder control loss.
Q: How long is the wait in line?
A: Wait times will vary depending on the day of your visit. The two weekends prior to Halloween will have the longest wait times.
Q: Can tickets be resold?
A: Tickets are void if resold. Tickets purchased anywhere other than the Haunted Woods box office or online ticket vendor will not be honored. Tickets purchased at our box office must be used on the date of purchase. We will aggressively prosecute any individual selling counterfeit tickets.
Q: I lost my cellphone/jewelry/shoes in your attraction. Can you help me find it?
A: Please make sure any items you bring are securely in your pockets at all times… or better yet, leave them in the car. We will not be able to check for lost items right away, and because of the size and complexity of the attractions, items might not be found until the lights are turned back on at the end of the night or the next morning, sometimes not until after the season. If you might have dropped an item inside one of our attractions, please phone or e-mail us with the details and we will let you know if the item has been found. More often than not, dropped cell phones and other items are trampled in the dark environment by other customers. We are not responsible for any personal items brought inside our attractions.
Q: What happens if I break the rules?
A: All rules are strictly enforced for the safety of our guests. Anyone violating the rules may be asked to leave the property with or without warning, and without refund. The Pierce County Sherrifs will be on site to give you a free trip to another monster safari, the jail, if necessary.
