Facilities

Buildings
Dairy barns, stall barns, cattle holding pens, barnyards and pastures provide the rustic infrastructure for Maris Farms located in Buckley, Washington.

Terrain
The barn areas are surfaced with relatively level concrete and gravel. Most areas may be accessed by gravel, grass or bark pathways throughout the rest of the farm. About 30% of the farm sits at a lower elevation than the barn area and requires traveling a 50′ slope to access. Though massive quantities of bark are used for pathways throughout the farm, you will encounter uneven terrain. There will be puddles and/or mud in the fields if there’s been a recent heavy rain event or extended periods of rain.

Access
Parking lot address is 25001 Sumner Buckley Hwy, Buckley, WA 98321.  Our gravel driveway – initially designed for milk truck and grain truck access – will take you to our 10 acres of Free Parking! There are brief times during busy weekends when the parking lot is full, but please check that it is full before choosing to park on road.

Since this is a natural terrain event, there are areas in the Haunted Woods and corn maze that require staffed assistance for access in wheelchairs or mobility scooters. If these areas were to be part of your visit, please contact us (253-318-2927 or 253-380-7771) prior to purchasing your ticket so we can be ready to give you the best experience.

Strollers with small wheels may be difficult to push in the corn maze and pumpkin patch due to uneven terrain.

Hygiene & Sanitation
Several cold water hand wash stations are available as well as waterless hand sanitizer stations.  Well maintained and plentiful port-o-potties abound.

Pumpkin Field
The U-Pick field – typically ranges anywhere between 5-8 acres, depending on the year – is the actual pumpkin growing field and you will encounter remnants of the natural vines amongst the dirt. We also grow an additional 20 acres of pumpkins at a nearby field to replenish the farm field as it becomes depleted.

Corn Maze
Approximately two miles of dirt trails through a cornfield, ranging anywhere between 3-5 acres, depending on the year.  Sections of trails are covered with bark to improve traction.  Two large bridges are placed along the journey to cross over intersecting trails and provide a panoramic view of the area. Important rules are provided before entering the maze and compliance is required to ensure your safety and the safety of others.

The Haunted Woods
An adventure that begins when you arrive, with haunts while you wait in the barn and throughout the 30-35+ minute walk through a corn field and woods. This creepy crawl through the corn begins with your wait inside an old cow stall barn. The corn trails are also covered in sawdust and will take you twisting and turning through 12-foot tall cornstalks and past several creepy creatures as well as in and out of some sadistic sets. Ambient lighting is provided to guide your way.  Important rules are communicated several times before entering the venue and compliance is required to ensure your safety, safety of other customers and our actors.

Shelters

Picnic shelters and informal shelter in the barns is available to wait out a rain squall. Picnic tables and benches are available for your informal use throughout the farm.
